Self Promo / Light My Fire
To promote my design skills I handcrafted a special Match Box. I chose to use a trick on words to light a spark of interest. The box is handcrafted and illustrated to reflect the way I am - cheeky, nature-loving, crafty person. The message is clear: "Light My Fire – I am your perfect MATCH!" Each card in the box has a different meaning: The "I am" card illustration depicts folklore design of my birth country – Czech Republic, "Your" is showing my skills in handwritten typography & illustration, and the "Perfect" card is influenced by Art Deco visual style and typography. The "Match" as an object speaks for itself - It's a Match and It's a fire starter! The Match Box is about 3 times bigger than the usual Match Box (100x60x15mm). Its fully functional and is a great design item to keep.
